I love my job in that i always get the chance to meet great couples and families, and create life long memories that they will cherish forever.  The latest couple that i had the pleasure of photographing was Luke & Amanda. These guys have 2 beautiful kids, Tara and Samuel. Originally we were going to do this portrait session a couple months back when Amanda was pregnant with Samuel but upon talking with Amanda she decided that it would be best to do this when he was born.

Fast forward a couple of months later and it was time to take this family out and capture some beautiful memories. The location that the portrait shoot took place was at Urangan beach. I love this location at low tide, the combination of beautiful light and exposed rocks on the foreshore just added that little bit of magic to the shoot.

23rd January was the day that Dan & Ashleigh tied the knot at St Pauls Anglican church in Maryborough. I have been looking forward to this wedding for quite some time as i just love the old cathedral churches…

Dan and the boys got ready at his parents house in Hervey Bay and it was just an awesome time hanging out with these guys. I used to work with one of the groomsmen when we were pastry chef’s back in the day and Dans best man (who’s name is also Dan) i have photographed previously, so it was kind of like hanging out with family, good times!

What a pleasure it has been getting to know Ili & Melissa! These guys live in Mt Isa and decided that Hervey Bay was the place to get married amongst close friends & family. Although Ili & Melissa live interstate it has been so easy communicating and i have really enjoyed getting to know them, i don’t think there is an easier going couple than these two and that definitely showed on their wedding day.

Weddings can be so unpredictable especially when it comes to the weather, in this case the heavens decided to open and the rains came down, but that didn’t stop this couple from celebrating and they embraced the weather along with the awesome bridal party who were the biggest help too ( thanks for holding all the umbrellas up when we were photographing in the rain

I am playing a little bit of catchup with my blogs and wanted to share this couples intimate wedding that i photographed up in Benaraby, just south of Gladstone. Kye & Kelly have such a beautiful connection and I was very lucky to be able to meet them and their beautiful family.

Kye & Kelly’s wedding was very intimate, with their 5 boys having such a special part in their day. I loved being able to travel to the different locations in Benaraby and Gladstone region, the scenery there is amazing and these guys are so lucky to be able to live right on the river, which is where they had their ceremony. I hope to be able to travel up there more often to photograph weddings amongst some of the beautiful scenery.

At the end of last year i headed down to the Gold Coast to photograph Mark & Monique’s vow renewal. These guys have been married for 10 years and it was amazing being asked to come down and photograph this special time in their lives. The location was stunning and reminded me of a scene from Jurassic Park ( gotta love the Gold Coast Hinterland). Mark & Monique head up to the Mouses House every year as this was the spot that Mark proposed to Monique, so really it only seemed fitting to celebrate 10 years of marriage at this epic location.

I loved hanging out with their kids Amelie and Elijah “aka the bear”. Amalie is such a beautiful girl with such a beautiful smile and her nature reminded me of my little girl. The bear was a lot of fun to hang out with and I love that I have now become known as “big Ben”.

Congratulations again guys on 10 years of marriage and I look forward to photographing the next 10 years.

Chris and Kym purchased their family portrait shoot during National Family Portrait Month last year, where we offered our services to be able to help raise funds for breast cancer.

We have known this family for a while and it was great being able to take their family portraits. One thing I loved is how they wanted to incorporate their children’s passion into their portraits. Nathan is very into soccer and although I didn’t get to see any awesome tricks, it was great hearing how much he loves the sport. Emmily is very athletic and into little nippers., so it was only fitting that she brought along her surfboard.

I really appreciate how different children and families are, and it makes my job so special in being able to capture these different personalities and what makes these families unique.

Today i had the pleasure of delivering Tyler & Jade’s beautiful wall collection and portrait box from their recent portrait shoot. I loved getting to know this couple, finding out what they love about each other and being able to transform the way they feel into beautiful photographs. I love the connection between Tyler and Jade and it is evident in their photographs the admiration and comfort they have for each other. I had so much fun sitting with them both and watching them design their beautiful wall art.

It is so rewarding taking couples and families through the entire photographic experience and listening to them discover what they love about their family and each other, what an amazing experience!

Recently i had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Darcy & Renee. I have loved getting to know these guys and really appreciate how down to earth and laid back they both are  

I know how much these guys have been looking forward to their wedding, so it was an honour to be chosen to document them and their love for each other on this special day.

Darcy & Renee were married at Dayman Park and continued the celebrations with family & friends at the Waterfront Restaurant. It was also great working with all the suppliers that made this wedding truly amazing! Darcy & Renee i wish you all the best for your future together and i can’t wait to meet up with you guys again soon to deliver your amazing album

Recently i had the opportunity to travel out to Woodgate beach to photograph & celebrate the engagement of Ricky & Theresa. I really enjoyed exploring a different side to Woodgate, the combination of the burnt trees and long green grass really contributed to the styling of their photoshoot.

It was an honor getting to know these guys and just hang out with them to capture some beautiful images at this important time in their lives. Ricky & Theresa, thank you for giving me the opportunity to photograph you, you guys are legends!!

I had the privilege of photographing Ed & Emma’s wedding last year at the beautiful Mantra, Hervey Bay. I really enjoyed getting to know this couple, who travelled all the way from Quilpie (South West Queensland) to get married in Hervey Bay. It was such a beautiful day with family & friends, all of which travelled to witness this special occasion.
