Recently I had the wonderful privilege of photographing the Taylor family. The last time Chris and Olivia had family portraits was back when their eldest boy, Lawson was a baby. Since then they have had another boy, Joshua, so it was the perfect time for them to update their family photos and celebrate who they are as a family.

The one thing that I really love to do before going into a photographic shoot is discover the relationships within the family. Every child is different and is deserving to be celebrated and photographed how Mum and Dad see them through their eyes.  I loved hearing about all those special things that Chris and Olivia love about their children- the outgoing personality of Joshua, the calculated & perfectionism of Lawson were just some of the things that they love, so it was great going into the shoot and documenting who they are, authentically.

Chris and Olivia it has been great getting to know you both and photographing your beautiful family. I'm really looking forward to you receiving your wall art so that you can enjoy these moments everyday in your home

I love capturing genuine moments of emotion when I am photographing weddings, and the wedding of Jonathan and Erin was full of those special little moments. The love that Jonathan has for his bride is monumental! The way that he spoke about her in our conversations really came to light in their wedding, and it is evident through the photos that were taken on the day.

Jonathan & Erins wedding was held on their own property located in beautiful Montville. I absolutely love this place- the cool air, the smell of firewood and the beautiful scenery work in such perfect harmony to give this place its amazing feel.

Before the ceremony Erin got ready at the beautiful Lake Terrace with her sister and two best friends. Accompanying them were Erin’s parents, and also her Aunt, who travelled all the way from the UK to see this couple exchange vows. Erin arrived by horse and carriage where she walked down the aisle to Xavier Rudd’s- “Mystery Angel”.

Recently I headed out to photograph the Ashe family. Point Vernon beach was the choice of location as it is where Helen and Matt love to take their little girl, Elidi and also their beloved dog, “Buddy”

Matt and Helen you guys are such a beautiful family and it was a lot of fun taking your family photos.

It has been such a great honour getting to know Tyrone, Mellie and their two beautiful girls, Peyton and Lara.  After my initial call with Mellie about wedding photography, I just knew that we were the right fit and I was so excited to be able to photograph their special day.

Their wedding was intimate with close family and friends. They chose to get married on a beautiful backyard property just outside of Maryborough, where Tyrone did an amazing job getting the area ready for the big day. Tyrone also made their beautiful ceremony arbour, wishing well, plus all the centrepieces at their reception.   

Mellie arrived to the ceremony by horse and carriage and walked down the aisle with her grandfather by her side. Tyrone & Mel’s kids were also a big part of the wedding day, taking on the responsibilities of being super cute flower girls.

Recently i photographed Chris & Laura on the beautiful beach of Hervey Bay. Initially we had planned the photo shoot in the Marina, but due to maintenence and hectic wind we changed the location to somewhere that was a little more sheltered.

Chris and Laura both love spending time together outdoors and on the water, it was great spending the afternoon with both of them and getting to know them with the lead up to their photo shoot. Chris and Laura it was great photographing you both. I love the connection in the photos, and it is so awesome that you celebrated your relationship with beautiful wall art.

I really enjoyed photographing the Ashcroft family. Chris and Brooke wanted to have their family portraits taken on their property with their two kids. It was fun photographing these kids in their own environment where they could run freely, chase chickens, play in their cubby house and interact with Mum & Dad.  I love being able to capture those cute little faces when they are so engaged in what they are doing.

I recently met with Matt, Tara and their very cute son Cooper at the beautiful Urangan beach for their family photoshoot. I love that we were able to capture the beautiful connection this family has, not only capturing the love they have for Cooper, but also the love Matt and Tara have for each other.

When I was talking to Tara she mentioned how much she loves when Matt and Cooper play together and the joy that it brings, so it was great to be able to capture this special bond between the boys, as well as capturing some lovely affectionate moments between Cooper and his mum.

I love the Fraser Coast region for the vast amount of locations that you can photograph families in, but i also love photographing families on their own property in areas that mean a lot to them.

Lee & Melissa have a beautiful property with a lot of room for their daughter Aaliyah to run around on. This little girl is such a free spirit with boundless amounts of energy which made for some great photos. The fun interaction between Mum, Dad and Aaliyah was also beautiful to capture, along with their dog Mason who has been apart of the family not long after Aaliyah was born.

Lee & Melissa, you both have a beautiful wall collection that encapsulates who you are, and it is so awesome that you will get to enjoy that everyday!

January has been the month of family portraits for us, and i am loving every bit of it! meeting all the different personalities and photographing people for who they really are has been amazing.

Our most recent photo shoot was with Angus, Natalie and their 3 year old son Hamish. This little boy is just a ball of personality! the cheeky looks, the cute dimple in his cheek when he smiles, the way he curls his tongue and the interaction with his Dad are all things that Natalie loves, how awesome is it that this family now has beautiful artwork so that they can relive these precious moments everyday?

The Whitley family came in today to view their beautiful family portraits. 2 days ago we headed out to one of Hervey Bay’s beautiful beaches to let the kids run loose and have some fun together as a family.

I have enjoyed speaking to Gaby and getting to know the different personalities of her four children. I love how kids can all be a part of one family, yet their personalities can be worlds apart. These kids are such a ball of energy and just fun to photograph. I love how the boys have a great connection with their dad and I could see on the day how much they love spending time with him and I loved seeing the gentler connection the girls have with mum and dad.
